Aus den Lagern gibt es Berichte von Gewalt, Unterernährung und Verweigerung medizinischer Versorgung.

At long last, my OG #Nest #thermostat will very soon become unmanageable and won’t receive updates from the mother ship. Considering it’s older than my 12 year old, it’s had a marvelous run… and I avoided ever having to Google it.

So now I’m looking for a thermostat that can do #Matter, #Thread, and Apple #HomeKit. My goal is no additional enshitified clouds.

Any suggestions based on experience?

I usually feel like I should read something real and learn something instead. I did however pick up Ursula K. Le Guin’s book “The Dispossessed” thanks to dear anarchist comrade @alineblankertz who insisted I must read it. She had good reasons to insist.

How can I find out what best practice / group conscience is about hashtags in threads?

When I do a thread, I hashtag each post. Another person says I should hashtag the first post but not the rest.

I'd like to search for whether this topic has come up and what people said.

Do I do a poll? A toot? Search a hashtag? Something else?

I'm using my international radio on my Home Assistant Yellow for Thread so I added a Sonoff ZigBee dongle. I really hate large USB dongles hanging out the back of things, so I took the opportunity to finally learn FreeCAD and design a new top shell that could house that dongle internally. A few painful hours of trial and error, one U-Shaped USB extension, and one short antenna extension later and it's looking much cleaner! It is a shame I don't have a resin printer or know how to use one, because it would have been nice to keep the translucent plastic aesthetic. (an atomic purple shell would be so rad!) But I'm really happy with it overall.
