#Adidas loses battle against #ThomBrowne for using four stripes in their designs (a rather lame twist, to be honest).
But what isn't mentioned in this #BBC article is that the three stripes were originally by a Finnish sports brand, #Karhu. The branding was sold in the 50s to Adidas for two bottles of whiskey and €1600. Yes, for real.
Karhu still exists btw with a slightly tweaked brand.
