My current conspiracy theory of choice is that Big Money looked at the internet in its early days and concluded that all that accurate information so readily available to so many ordinary people would eventually be bad for business.
So they proceeded to make the tubes and trucks as unreliable as possible; finally making the information superhighway strictly a conduit that disgorges huge amounts of cash directly to them, providing as little value to others as possible.

The #MoonLanding was a profound high-water mark in history. We have not accomplished anything as astounding since. 
And it was the culmination of a challenge put forth by a #Democratic president who actually STOOD UP to #Russia, not kissed their leaders puckered ass.
Today is the 55th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Since that day, the cosmos have felt a little bit closer.

55 years ago today. And my #Apollo11 landing commemorative t-shirt arrived just in time for it. My father helped develop guidance systems for the Apollo lunar lander, it’s amazing that they succeeded with the technology of that time.

When I first learnt that NASA is planning another Moon landing, I found myself tearing up... Perhaps it sounds naïve or even unreasonable, but to me, it served as a poignant reminder that humanity isn't just about division, war, and greed. It's also about curiosity, hope, and adventure!
